Introduction
Bluetooth was ratified as IEEE 802.15 standard. The technology got its unusual name in honor of Harald Bluetooth, king of Denmark in the mid-tenth century. It is used for short-range connections between desktop and laptop computers, PDAs, digital cameras, scanners, cellular phones, and printers. Bluetooth uses a standard 2.4 GHz frequency so that all bluetooth-enabled devices will be compatible with each other.
